Filmed in black and white, young Lydiane (L-kyo) has put together a video of short clips documenting her practise. Starting with a flag, L-kyo shows us her moves including a tic-tac to ledge at 0:16 and rail quadrepedie at 0:36. You are doing well and keep practising!

Lydiane 2008

This video is an update to Lydiane's progress. Some highlights are at 1:00 some fun with a tree, 1:25 some flowing movements at a supermarket trolley rail, at 3:50 a nice level to level cat pass and at 4:10 a nice running arm jump! Some of the drops look too big for her knees but it's good to see conditioning is part of her training. We wish Lydiane all the best and keep up the good work girl!

Brazil

MTV Traceuse Interview For the Portugese speakers, an interview with the Brazilian traceuses about what parkour means to them.

Isis, Thais & Maris mixed video

A compilation of clips featuring Brazilian traceurs and traceuses Isis, Thais & Maris. With a combination of strong wall runs, arm jumps, precisions and vaults, there are many highlights including practices of huge arm jumps at 1:55 and that now famous precision at the graffiti wall by Thais at 2:08. At the end, flips in an indoor gymwork and some blink-and-you'll-miss-it clips of the girls, but at 7:20, some neat tricks by a traceuse.

Isis Mari training 08 A training video of Mariana & Isis with a sampler of what goes on behind the scenes. At 1:33, good saut de chat to precision by both ladies and to finish, a breathtaking saut de chat to arm jump! Great work ladies!

Mariana v Isis - Traceuses Fight While the smooth parkour action only takes place in the first half of the video, this is a short and fun video that doesn't take itself too seriously.

Profile!

Angelica 50th Birthday From Rio de Janiero, Angelica put together this birthday video to show her latest accomplishments, a solid effort by a very strong lady, even more inspirational when you know that she started parkour at 48! Angelica - respect to you!

Isis Ribas

Sweet arm jump (and almost a precision!) to planche, Wall run to arm jumps and striding, jumps and rolls, Isis has this all covered.

   Larissa

17-year old Larissa has a set of good skills, starting the video with a row of precisions and some big jumps (and rolls). At 0:25 is a nice running arm jump and she covers some real distance with a tic tac at 0:35. At 1:23 her running arm jump to pull up is nice work

Mariana Ribas

Mariana is a skilled traceuse who shows us the results of her one year of hard training with a smooth set of moves. At 0:35, Miss Ribas pulls off a huge arm jump with much focus and determination. At 1:00, a great rail precision - note the drop on both sides! And at 1:15, a precision to lache, very smooth work and camera angles! 1:50, a tic-tac to precision, with a great finish at 2:03 with an huge arm jump! Girl, you are rocking! Awesome video and look forward to the next one.

Priscila A short video with a playful and fun feel, Priscila shows us her skill, most especially with the distance and the skill in "sticking it" in her precisions. Love the 1st-person camera angles at 0:40 with her feet and the video finishes with footage from her trip to Rio de Janiero.
  Thais

Shows some extremely appetising training spots including the white concrete mass (2.00ish) and a cool climbing frame. (2.40) Love the pink sign at 0.05! A dramatic host of shot, highlight for me, I just love the little wall hop to cat at 1.28!

Abla Chenjai

A slickly edited first video featuring this Montreal lady that captures the last few days of training before the cold weather comes in. Nothing too fancy, just simple movement that hopefully gets you out there to see the last flowers :)

Flips! Irma

Ok, so this is more of a stunt reel than a parkour video, but to a female doing stuff like this is just awesome! (And I like the song!) Its a high action, high speed cataclysm of explosive jumpy flippy-ness! The double kong at 0.34 is HUGE! And the flip onto the table at 0.41 (regardless of how you fell about flips) is just damn cool! And is followed by a great camera shot of a series of backflips! Ha ha! Great stuff!

 Silex

12 seconds of action packed stuff, starting with a massive arm jump and ending with a planche (muscleup). Great stuff!

 Chile

Mota PK Girl

My favourite part is at 0:55, training on natural boulders! Another "like" is how she's moves through a routes, with a great variety of conditions. Nice one and keep on with the training! :)

 England

Julie Angels RDV3 documentary
The long awaited documentary of the legendary RDV3 event that took place in London this December. Another visual feast from the lovely Julie Angel, that captures some amazing moments from the event. Sure to be a great trip down memory lane for all those that were present and a bit of insight for those that missed it. (And maybe a touch of jealousy!) Look out for RDV4 rumored to be taking place this summer.

  Liv & Hollie

Liv and Hollie training together that shows the dedication and regular training behind the spectacular moves and skill of both ladies.

Agota

A very stylish offering from one of parkour generations newest recruits. Agota has been around the London scene for a while now and has steadily been making progress and is developing into one the nations finest! This video shows how all her hard work has payed off as she displays a series of fast and creative combinations. My personal favourite is the combination at 0.43. Oh, and Agota, I officially declare you... the underbar queen! Great work!

Agota's latest video in the UK is a tv Advertisement for Rightmove, the UK's largest estate agency. While it doesn't feature many parkour moves, it is a light-hearted look of a woman in a hurry! Keep an eye out for a furry traceur-wannabe.

Allie With a good set of skills including cat balancing, vaults and working on her climb ups, Allie is showing talent and we look forward to her future progress!

Emily Casan Team Seishin

Not really new, it's from 2008 (how did this slip through?) however here's Emily showing lots of energy as she sprints, dashes, vaults and tic tacs around London.

Hollie Hollie displays some very nice and strong combinations, a great style, both fluid and graceful.

She also has just mastered the mighty muscle up! Congratulations girl! A feat to be seriously proud of!

Hollie Sunny Day  Not new, but this short and sweet video of Hollie's solo training session left us with a warm feeling and little smile.
Hollie 2008 Holllie's latest video is a compilation of video clips in 2008 that highlights the development in her movement, control and strength. From controlled precisions, a neat muscle-up to saut de chat at 0:25 and a flowing combination of vaults at 1:25, the entire video is set to relaxing music and is indeed good viewing.
 Profile! Karen Palmer

This documentary made by Julie Angel, features London based traceuse Karen Palmer. Karen was one of the first females to take an interest in parkour in London and is well known and respected in the city. This film displays her thoughts and feelings on the discipline and her own personal training journey. Karen has more recently been working on the other side of the camera and made her own parkour documentary titled "Mental Block".

Kirsty Hibbert- Pure Parkour

Title should be "pure parkour... oh and one flip" :p  Kirsty is going back to basics with no flips, no catchy sound track and a teaser at the end. Never knew scraping noises and traffic could sound interesting..

Flips!

Kirsty Hibbert - Spring Progression Kirsty 's latest video, more flips than parkour and she is starting to come along nicely (big understatement) ;) This female freerunner is well on her way to turning heads.
   Kirsty Hibbert 2008

A UK traceuse who has been training a year and shows real potential with strength and flow. Some cool bits are the kong to underbar combo at 1:45 and some nice balancing and pistols at 2:06.

Outdoor conditioning  Highly recommended for ladies who'd like to build up strength that will definitely benefit their movement! Good work Kirsty!

Upper body strength: Pull up variations

Upper body strength - those 3 words that most of us ladies will know and dread. But traceuse Kirsty has put on 2 videos on training and conditioning that will inspire you ladies out there. Nice work Kirsty!

Liv Rowland

A bit outdated now but this is an old video of the one and only legendary Liv. (A.K.A. Flame.) This very talented lady from England was one of the first girls to emerge on the scene and still one of the best. You can see a few more recent clips here. And a rather cool music video with some nice piano music here

Parkour Muses

Traceur Vinh made this video to spread the idea that parkour is for men and women and that the girls who begin or do parkour are not alone. Good times, sunny Parisian summer days, this is a fun edit of 2010's training with several new girls starting  :) Fingers crossed for more video updates on the Parisian traceuses..

Cheeky :-(|)

Lisa from Cologne, Germany has some real skills with railings, dealing with them with a creative artillery of underbars, laches, vaults, turn vaults. Good bits (among many) are the muscle-up at 1:53, a barefoot wall run at 2:21 and chain balancing at 2:28.

Freiburg traceuse  A well filmed and edited traceuse video of a run through Freiburg. No flips or big moves but skilful moves and strength come as close as it gets to showing the feel of a parkour run.

 Flips!

Mare With rail precisions, vaults, striding and flips, this video has a good energy to it. While Mare's skills are stronger in her gymnastic skills and flips than her parkour, this is a lady to look out for in the future!

Michi Summer 09 Michi's movements have gotten smoother and her confidence is shown in what she's trying. A traceuse with her own unique style of movement.
  Michi

This is a recent video showing some very smooth moves and nice fluidity. Very nice stuff!

Runa

What are they feeding these German girls because it's an understatement to say that Miss Runa is a girl comfortable with heights. The sequences at 1:30 and at 1:58 and climbing at 2:45 and some cool roof scapes and gardens ..The video has a bit of a storyline and also some very nice filming and editing, so watch this now!

Sara A work in progress, this video shows Sara's latest training with some strong wall runs and a nice sequence running along a bridge from 1:48 and lots of imagination and flexibility playing at supermarket rails at 2:10! Pleasure to watch with good editing and lots of camera angles.

 Greece

New!

Maria Raptaki - Mind the gap

Greek parkour media darling, Maria's latest video is a compilation of what she's been up to since the last video - plenty! There are clips of parkour demonstrations, interviews, ads, and then a BIG ad from her sponsor, an interesting skatepark run through and lots of fast editing! I must admit that I had hoped there could have been more new clips as I  had deja vu watching some bits..but still a solid effort.

Maria It takes a while to get going but when it does this is a video well worth watching. It features Maria from the NSA Greek Parkour team who is clearly developing some very nice skills!

Maria MADTv Interview

This interview (in Greek) features Maria's thoughts about parkour and some smooth action by her and the NSA team that shows that Maria can certainly hold her own! Inspiring stuff and good to see female representation in Greece!

 Ireland

Japan

Flips!

Hana Summer 2009

Hana from Nagoya is small and light like her name (meaning flower) and her opener for this video is great! A smooth precision to front tuck, and the rest of this video is equally as impressive. Her flips are better than her parkour,  her landings on her flips are quiet but she sounds loud with her parkour landing. But that's only obvious because she's left the sound in and she has used some really cool music that doesn't assault your eardrums . A very good debut video..

 Mexico

PK Femme

A short video showing the 1st female training (PK Femme) by Monos Urbanos that looks like real fun indeed! With lots of techniques shown by the lovely Miss Kat, the Mexican chicas are showing some good skills!

Reunion de Traceuses 2008 A new video following all the action at the recent Reunion! A surprise by the traceuse at 3:20 pulling herself up...much respect for this gutsy lady! Highlights include 4:35, the arm jumps from the bike rail and the kongs to a target at 7:50! Good work ladies, the Mexican girls are certainly leading the way!

Kat's 2008 video shows a solid display of dynamic and fluid movement. Very nice! Amazing cat leap at the end!

Great progression from Kat's first video in 2006 that showcased her strength and dynamic style with a tidy set of technical moves.

 New Zealand

Flips!

After 1 1/2 years of training, self-taught free runner Gillian's debut video has a very nice feel to it and also flips with good form! A nice sequence of vault to aerial at 1:55, overall good editing with good skills - nice one Gillian!

Poland

Polish Traceuses Project 2010

Highly recommended! Majorka, Sandra, Olka, Monika, Neta, Ubcia, Patrycja and Arleta have put together clips which show a high level of passion and determination in Poland! You can read the idea behind the video on the Polish traceuse blog  . Well done ladies and respect!

Staszow traceuses

A video of Polish traceuses after 4 months of training showing nice flow and combinations of vaults by all girls. All girls showing lots of potential and we look forward to their next video

Monika Freerun

Monika showing promise with some cool side and front flips and enjoyable and flowing sequences of vaults and arm jumps, 0:19 and 1:45 . Excitedly anticipating seeing Monika's progression in the future especially once she starts mixing her runs with her flips :) Yahoo! Good job!

Traceuse Neta: Sampler 2010

After 1 1/2 years of training, Neta's climb ups are looking more fluid, she's starting to work on her striding and a "flick" in her pop vaults. Also some a nice roll at 1:06 and 3:00 and exploring through ruins at 0:20. In the video, you get the idea that Neta's a tough girl who is very self-critical, so it will be interesting to see what she will achieve in a few years with more experience and strength. All the best!

Neta: Trip to Pomorze 2010

An eerie creepy start to a forest training, there'a "wild girl" feel to the start. Neta explains that this video is not a full action sampler or best of video but rather a record of a travel trip that she did with friends. She's open to comments so take a look and leave a note :)

Olka Wiosna 2010

Light and cheerful, Olka can really move!  Olka's dedication to practise is showing through including good control of precisions at height and of course, wall spins! Nice flow and combinations of vaults at 1:00 and bloopers at the end is a nice touch but overall Olka's potential shines through.

Olka A compilation of  videos from her spring, autumn and winter 2009 training, with lots of good movement and yahoo, wall and rail spins! Representing Poland! Yeah!

Portugal

 Mary

Mary has some solid technique and has progressed well from her earlier clips. Great form at 0:15 and a huge wall run at 2:45. Overall a solid effort and good things are expected from this young and determined traceuse!

 Russia

New!

Flips!

Parkour Week Women's Edition 2010 Made by the Russian female practitioners who'd like more women to come out and practise! If you don't understand Russian, be patient because the action only starts at 1:10.. but prepared to be blown away! There is lots of skill, flow, jumps and gymnastic ability! Plus, there's creativity to inspire and the girls are just having so much fun that.. sob.. it makes me wish that I were Russian too. Two thumbs up!

Russian Women's Training 2007
Documenting the women's training in Russia, some good efforts by the ladies learning techniques! The only complaint are the unnecessary zooms into boobs and butts.

Flips!

Alexandra Shevchenko - Funny Holidays

First, let's just say: the editing, pacing, choice of music, angles... very professional! And then, there's what Alexandra is doing. She is an excellent freerunner because of years of gymastic training, but what sets this video apart is that the parkour "moves" don't just look like tricks to be executed at breakneck speed. Anyway I'm convinced and inspired! Love the video and LOL at 1:10 :) Everything in this video is gold. Enjoy the funny holidays!

Anna Ershova Some footage of Anna's regular training after 1 1/2 years of practise, some good skills and her dedication to training shows. With an after-school/ work training feel, this is a joyful video with some nice moves by Anna! Big laughs at the cute warmup/hopping dance!

Gala Team Yukando A fun filled video with some flowing movements on a rooftop and a nice combination of vaults, strides and movements for a smooth run with a comic ending!

Gala, Yukando 2010

Warning! The beginning of this video is meant to be a parody and she does show us her ability later on. So keep on watching. Her work on the climbing frame at 1:40 is beautiful and flowing and makes my jaw drop, especially because I sat through 1+ minute of her pretending to fumble around :p Gala admits this isn't as impressive as it could be, because she is 10 weeks pregnant! Congratulations! :D

Yana Yolkova

Yana Volkova (aka Bitter Lemon) is one seriously skilled traceuse who is truly inspirational with her smooth and controlled moves. With some breathtakingly smooth saut de chat, this video is a gem. Some favourite bits are the running precision through the trees at 0:45 (check out the distance she covers!), her vault at 1:21, a very smooth wall run at 1:33 and the finale at 2:08 of some truly impressive laches! Good viewing indeed.

 Scotland

Glasgow Parkour Girls - Angie

A video that shows how much this lady enjoys her training and slow and steady progress. Also, she has a really solid base of strength, skills and some impressive rail precisions! She looks like she's thought and trained each move many times and while she's still a little hesitant in her movement, it's probably this same degree of care that will see her stay safe in the future.

Singapore

RazorTV Interview

This is not a traceuse video, but a video blog of 2 female newspaper reporters (one clumsy, one sporty) trying parkour basics with Singapore Parkour and also includes an interview about parkour and women in Singapore. Worth a look just for the women's enthusiasm.

 Spain

  Madrid Traceuses

A video of 4 good friends and traceuses in Madrid training in 1 day. Some nice flow in the vaults at 0:30 and nice arm jumps at 0:53. Out takes at the end are a nice touch and overall a feel-good video about girls enjoying practising parkour.

Aurora This young prodigy's video from when she was 9 years old, has recently been unearthed. To view it click here.

Aurora's youtube video first came to our attention not only because of her impressive moves but also because she was only 11 years old when it was made!! The video is not the best quality and has some dubiously flattering editing of timing but nevertheless, displays something very special. The potential is mind-blowing! Keep it up little one!

Tamara This 'catch me if you can' video is amusing and also shows some nice skills. Tamara from Spain, ladies and gentleman.

Sweden

 AnnSofie

Some good movements from AnnSofie, my favourite part at 1:20 at a group of railings in the forest where AnnSo shows her versatility and flow with some nice vaults, rail precisions, balancing and laches! A good feel and a nice 1st video, well done :)

Ukraine

Ann/ Traceur RU collaboration

Ann is probably not the only traceuse and female freerunner in Ukraine, but you wouldn't be able to tell because all her videos are listed here. Parkour nazis might want to skip this one, as it's got a fair few flips in it. But I swear, this is my favourite one yet - at least until the next one comes out.

Ann 2009

And I stand corrected - I really like this one too. Massive blocks at 0:25! Only thing is, by the time you get to the middle of the video, your eyes get tired from the repetitive flipping - but some might like eyestrain like that ;) Hooray Ann!

Overtrance - Winter 09

A new video of training in snowy, yes, white and 2-3ft deep snow, featuring Ann and another traceur. Ann is the one in a light brown jacket with some nice balancing action and snowy parkour. Great viewing of parkour in the snow, flips and funny moments.

 Ann "My Way"

Ann's latest vid has more of a running story to it that shows her improvements with her movement. This isn't a pure parkour video as there are lots of flips thrown in there but overall a good update on how this talented lady is doing.

Ann

Ann's birthday video has some impressive moves, such as a big drop to wall precision at 0:25. At 0:54, her wall run, muscle-up and turn-vault back down is fluid and at 1:25, her barwork is great to watch. But the best part is after 2:15, the whole indoor freerunning part! Girl, you are impressive! Unleashing flips, somersaults, summis, tucks.. amazing.

Ann's first video has some very good moves! A great kong to precision (1.50) and I especially like the training in the rain/snow(?) section! (1.04) and the cool spinny-spinny (0.46) Well done Ann!

Ann Kaczka Documentary

This one comes highly recommended. A fantastic documentary by American traceuse Ann Kaczka reflecting on her first year of training. Not only is it an inspiring and thought provoking analysis of the trials of a female in a male dominated discipline, it is an incredibly inspiring and beautiful video that reflects the determination and strength of this traceuse. To see her progression over the last year narrated with her honest and witty comments is not to be missed! Congratulations and thank you Ann for a really great video!

The 1st in a series of training videos,  this video focuses on flow, hand and foot placement and proximity awareness. With some smooth moves, this video is a pleasure to watch and will get your creative juices flowing.

Carolynn from Colorado has come up with a video accumulated from 3 years of training with some solid skills in parkour, flexibility and gymnastic ability. At 0:35 flowing combinations of vaults, at 0:50, a huge rail precision and at 1:45, creative work with laches. Well done!

  Elly 2007

Elly residing in St. Louis, Missouri, gets an extra special mention for being quite possibly the oldest traceuse out there at 34! You go girl! This video made in spring/summer 2007 demonstrates that even as we make the epic journey from girlhood to womenhood, we can still get out and do some fun stuff! Well done Elly! I especially like the swingy bit. (0.28)

 Elly 2008

Elly's back proving that a 36 year old can still rock it! Elly has progressed with controlled movements and fluidity. At 0:14, lots of control and balance, 0:30 and 0:50, cool walkover/handstand vault combo, 1:17 good use of feminine flexibility. Still flipping out, this is an inspiring video with loads of energy.

Erica Nicole Madrid

Make no doubt, Erica is an experienced gymnast and the most impressive parts of her debut video prove this. So part of my initial confusion is whether it should be seen as a gymnastics video with parkour, or a parkour video by a gymnast? In my humble opinion, this video is neither of the above. Rather it's an experienced gymnast who is, in her way, expressing herself and her style of movement and it's a video that can open up the possibilities for women to express their way of moving in parkour and freerun. In conclusion, epic debut video, you go girl and looking forward to your next one!

Janine Cundy:

A night-time conditioning video that is both serene and surreal. Impressive strength and enjoyable viewing.

  High Tide

Big wall run up a smooth wall in the start for Janine's update on her familiary training grounds. Very fluid sequece of movements through and over rails at 0:36. Also love the trainsition from vault to dip at 0:59! Great clip of creative and fluid movement.

Luci's submisison video deserves a mention here as when it came out, shattered expectations about what women can physically do and is definitely worth a look.

Some extra inspiration:

Ok... so I know this a girl parkour website, but here's a few of my favourite male parkour videos!

Mental block
This documentary film directed by London traceuse Karen Palmer, features Ali, a traceur, and his process of dealing with the inevitable mental block. An inside look at the often neglected mental aspects of parkour as opposed to the physical aspects. I just love the end! I always start clapping!

My space
This is probably my favourite parkour video ever! To me it shows the true essence of parkour! No big jumps, no flips, just perfect fluid motion. Its beautiful! When I first saw this video, I watched it maybe 100 times! The precision and apparent ease with which Forrest and Dan move through the small area is just spell-binding! And you've got to love the kids and the 'monkey-men' comments! Simply stunning stuff!

Visions:
Another of Julie Angels masterpieces! This shows a more playful and thoughtful side of parkour. Some of the true masters of the art playing in their kingdom.

Blane:
Fast becoming a modern master of the art, this video shows why Blane is worthy of the respect he receives from all who know him. Famous for his admirable skills, his thought-provoking blog and generally being a nice guy, here you can see some truly inspiring stuff! To read his training blog, go to the links page.
